1. Dancoly: Angel En Provence Shampoo in Grapefruit Straighten
This shampoo is meant for straight hair and is supposed to restore hair back to it’s “natural PH” balance. My hair has been extremely staticky these past couple of months (as it gets every winter) and so I wanted to switch to a shampoo that wouldn’t strip my hair of it’s natural oils. This shampoo made my hair infinitely less staticky and it makes my hair feel fresh and clean. My hair has been naturally straight for most of my life but when I let it naturally dry in the summer months, it gains a lot of nice waves. So I am just hoping that this shampoo doesn’t totally erase those natural waves I love in the warmer months. But who knows, maybe I’ll have finished it before it starts to get warmer here.
2. Dancoly: Angel En Provence, Grapefruit Purified Soften Spray
This spray came with the aforementioned shampoo. At first I was hesitant about it because I figured that the grapefruit in it would make my hair dry. I was totally wrong! This stuff makes my hair soft, adds moisture and it makes my hair immensely easier to brush after I get out of the shower. Love it!
3. Tom’s Of Maine Long Lasting Deodorant in Fresh Apricot
I featured an unscented Tom’s deodorant in a previous favourites and I must say, I like this apricot one so much more! The scent is amazing and the formula is indeed long-lasting.
4. So Susan Water-Based Pure Luminizer
I received a full-sized sample of this product in a Topbox, a Canadian beauty subscription box. I love getting the boxes in the mail because I love getting mail and they showcase some really lovely brands. I don’t think this product is natural but it is cruelty-free!
5. Desert Essence Daily Essential Moisturizer for Normal Skin, With Jojoba and Aloe Vera
In the summer, I bought this moisturizer on a whim and didn’t really like it at first. It definitely works magic on my skin in the winter, particularly because the colder months completely dry my skin out. I will try using it again this spring and summer but am hesitant about it breaking me out. Maybe, for me, it’s a seasonal product.
6. Revlon Curling Wand
Yes, I know what this looks like in the photo, but let’s ignore that. -After growing my hair out (I had short hair for six years), I needed to learn how to style it. I’m not the type of person who loves to spend a lot of time getting ready in the morning so I was really interested in buying a curling wand with a semi-large barrel. I soon realized that curling wands are hella expensive and I decided to browse the wands available at Target. I found this one for about 30 dollars and it works really well! The wand actually retracts into the handle so it’s perfect for travel and the handle is a matte black so it feels and looks sort of fancier than it actually is. I tried looking online to get the actual name of the wand but I can’t find it anywhere. I bought it around christmas and the packaging was somewhat holiday themed so they may not have it in stock anymore!
Do you have any favourite beauty products from this month? If so, let me know! :)
