It scares me when people say that ‘Time goes by quickly’. So I make up every excuse for Time, like, “it only seems that way in retrospect”.


Paul Simon wrote,

“half of the time we’re gone but we don’t know where”


I think that maybe we really do go (somewhere) for small periods. when we come back, minutes, hours, decades have passed. We leave again. We spend a lot of time not here. Time  doesn’t leave, rather, we do. We leave ourselves and grow resentful when Time doesn’t wait for us.
